May 1, 2006 Legal Invasion Day May 2, 2006 03:10PM
May 1, 2006 – Legalized Invasion Day

Hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of people filled the streets across this country yesterday in protest of an immigration reform bill currently being tossed around in the United States House of Representatives. A similar bill is currently being debated in the US Senate. These rallies were organized by several American groups to show support of illegal aliens wanting to invade the United States, to take advantage of social services provided courtesy of the American citizenry, more specifically, the American tax payer.

It is becoming more and more evident what will end up happening with this seemingly out of control situation. Our federally elected officials will grant more than 11 million people, in this country without an invitation, in this country without proper documentation (in the spirit of the term regulation, I mean, Social Security cards, Drivers’ Licenses, certificates of live birth, and all the other forms of identification most employers and service providers require from us regular folks) and without respect for the laws of our land.

May 1, 2006 has come and gone. The boycott didn’t affect me one way or another. I really didn’t care about it in that sense. What I saw, and what I am about to convey to you, was something completely different from what the majority of the people in this country saw. And what I saw did affect me in an adverse way, and it should affect every tax paying, law abiding American citizen enough to say, we have had enough.

I am going to change direction just for a moment, only to tie it all together at the end. The payoff to this writing is something I want all the readers to comprehend, and understand as well as I do.

There is currently another bill that has been introduced in the House of Representatives; HR25; The Fair Tax Bill. I realize that I have brought this up before, and I will re-emphasize that I am not a strong proponent of the new tax legislation as I am for the drastic overhaul of the tax system, the IRS and the Federal Government it could bring. Notice that I didn’t say it WOULD bring, or WILL bring. I said it COULD bring drastic change in the way our country is governed. It will never happen. Not at the rate we are going.

And what does this Fair Tax bill have to do with the demonstrations of May 1, 2006 by perhaps millions of people who have invaded our country demanding equal time, equal opportunity, and equal social services? Everything! Everything, that is except the pay off. The 11 million illegal invaders of our country are going to get their amnesty. The citizens of the United States of America won’t see tax reform in their life times. Why? Because the 11 million people who are invading our country want their “equal opportunities” more than we, the American tax payer want tax reform. And this is what hacks me off more than anything I can think of. Well this, the impotent 538 elected officials, and the main stream media in this country. They are all tied together. And I am about to break it down for you. If, however, by the time I have finished breaking it down and you still don’t understand or not upset enough to do something about it, then you will have proven my point.

The Impotent 538 and the Media

If you have paid attention to American politics in recent years, you may have noticed that today’s federal politicians are reactionary. They decide what is important in their lawmaking processes after either reading The New York Times or watching ABC News Tonight. The main stream media is not the only source for these politicians, the Internet, Cable News and Talk Radio are all contributors to the political process inside today’s beltway. The problem we have today is that these media sources are no longer reporting the news, in an unbiased manner, they are creating the news. They are the influence on not only the American people, but the 538 members of your government bodies in Washington, DC. Plainly speaking, the impotent 538 are finger in the wind politicians, and the media is the wind.

I don’t say this with any sense of humor in the statement. It is a main stream media creating problems, like illegal immigration issue, like border issues, like an oil crisis, and like a quagmire in the country of Iraq. The media has the power, and a content, satisfied American public is mesmerized by the dirty laundry created by the media. Some mental lunatic in Iran is on the cusp of being able to fire off a nuclear weapon, and the media has convinced a dumbed down American public that not only should his crazed mad man have his nukes, but we, the American people have no right to stop him if we had the audacity to believe he shouldn’t possess them. Whenever you see Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin or Hillary Clinton on your TV screen talking about real issues… you can believe they suddenly care about because the media has created a buzz, where there shouldn’t be a buzz. It’s not just democrats; it’s also Trent Lott, John McCain and Rick Santorum. These politicians can’t seem to find a camera they don’t like, and after sticking their fingers in the air that is wind blown by the main stream media, they suddenly have an agenda, or a crisis. Hence, they treat with more regulations and more laws for us, law abiding tax paying citizens to follow. And we, the American citizenry buy it. The majority of us buy it hook line and sinker.

The Fair Tax – It's Never Gonna Happen

A proud talk show host, Neal Boortz, and his co-author, Congressman John Linder have been strong proponents of the Fair Tax. I too, am a proponent of it, but only because it’s change is revolutionary… let me repeat… the change is REVOLUTIONARY…. Mr. Boortz and Honorable Linder have authored a book, simply entitled the Fair Tax Book. The hard cover went on sale last September, and debuted #1 on the New York Times best seller list. The expanded, version 2, paperback was released today. Rightly so, Boortz was ecstatic about the book going on sale. He truly believes in the Fair Tax, and as recently as this morning has gone on record as saying that implementing is not only feasible, but more likely, or possible, than even he believed last September. While I love Boortz, and his show, I can’t disagree with him more. Selling a book is not going to get Congress to change the tax codes. If retail receipts influenced Congress, George W. Bush would have been impeached after Fahrenheit 9/11 was released. Where Boortz and I part ways in our thinking (not that I have ever had a conversation about the topic, I can only go by what he says on the air), is that Boortz believes that the way to affect change is by contacting your Congressman, and by showing them you mean business at the ballot box. Guess what…. The First Amendment of the Constitution grants every citizen of this country the right to a Redress of Grievances. It is incumbent upon the government of this country to hear those grievances, and react to them… Boortz is planning a rally sometime soon, in an area that seats 20,000 people in Gwinnett County Georgia. We are all hopeful that after that rally for the Fair Tax, it will catch on…..

Meanwhile. On May 1, 2006, millions of people took to the streets to support the 11 million people who have thumbed their noses at our laws, to gain them citizenry. If I know the pattern, the Impotent 535 and the wind will see to it that our citizenry grows by 11 million by the first week of November, while 20,000 gather at the Gwinnett Arena in support of a paperback pipe dream. Boortz is wrong on this one. The answer is not at the ballot box, the answer is in dissent, in large numbers. The Gwinnett County arena won’t be filled with Fair Tax advocates willing to do what 11 million illegals are doing.. risking life and livelihood to get what they want. The 20,000 that fill the Gwinnett Arena in May (if it even happens) will be betting someone else will do the heavy lifting.

Meanwhile… Kellie Pickler got voted off of American Idol last Tuesday night. More people know that than can name the book being peddled by Neal Boortz. This isn’t about the Fair Tax. It is about our people being governed by media that uses skewed polls on a lackadaisical public to create the political fire storm of the day, so an impotent federal governmental law making body can make more laws, collect more taxes, and dumb a willing public down even more.

I hope you get it.
